- 1 red bell pepper, quartered
- 1 green bell pepper, quartered
- 2 onions
- 3 tbsp clarified butter
- 1 Garlic clove
- Salt
- Pepper
- 100 g aged Gouda cheese
- 4 tbsp sesame seeds (unhusked)
- parsley for garnish
- 250 g flour
- 600 ml Milk
- 2 Eggs
- a pinch of salt

Quarter the bell peppers, remove the white membranes, rinse and slice into strips. Peel the onions and cut into wedges. Heat 2 tbsp clarified butter. Sauté the onions and peppers for 6-8 minutes. Peel and press in the garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside warm.

Whisk flour with milk, eggs, and a pinch of salt to make a batter; let it rest for 30 minutes. Grate the Gouda cheese. Stir in 3 tbsp sesame seeds into the batter. Heat remaining clarified butter in a non-stick pan. Cook golden‑brown pancakes. Brown the remaining sesame seeds in the pan. Plate the pancakes with the bell pepper mixture, sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with parsley.
