Ingredients
- 1 kg celery root
- oil (for greasing the dish)
- 1 untreated lemon (juice)
- 70 g bacon (slices)
- 100 g grated Gruyère cheese
- 400 ml whipping cream
- 1 Garlic clove
- Salt
- pepper (from grinder)
- nutmeg
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Preheat oven to 180°C with upper and lower heat. Peel the celery root and cut into slices, halving if necessary. Layer in a greased small casserole dish and drizzle with lemon juice. Cut bacon into long strips and distribute over the celery.

Whisk together cheese and cream, squeeze in peeled garlic, season with salt, pepper, and a touch of nutmeg, add parsley, then pour over the vegetables. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
