- 8 ripe tomatoes
- 2 balls of mozzarella (125 g each)
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 bunch basil (about 30 g)

Wash the tomatoes, remove the stem ends, and slice them. Drain the mozzarella, slice it, and arrange both in a brick‑like pattern on plates.

Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then season with salt and pepper. Wash the basil, shake off excess water, pluck the leaves from the stems, and scatter over the salad. Serve immediately.
