Ingredients
- 175 g softened butter
- 150 g sugar
- 1 Tbsp vanilla sugar
- 3 eggs
- 4 tbsp milk
- 275 g flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- softened butter (for the pan)
- flour (for the pan)
- 100 g cream cheese
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 350 g powdered sugar
- 1 Egg white
- red food coloring
- 100 g colorful sprinkles
Instructions
-
1.
Preheat the oven to 180°C with top and bottom heat.
-
2.
Beat 150 g butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until pale and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then fold in the mixture. Combine flour with baking powder, sift over the batter and stir thoroughly into the dough. Pour the batter into a greased and floured loaf pan and bake for 35-40 minutes (test with a skewer). Remove, let cool briefly, turn out onto a sheet and allow to cool completely.
-
3.
Crush the cake into crumbs in a bowl. Beat cream cheese with remaining butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Mix in the cake crumbs. Shape small balls about 2 cm in diameter from the mixture. Insert on lollipop sticks and chill for about 30 minutes.

4.
For decoration, whisk powdered sugar with egg white, incorporating as little air as possible. The glaze should not be too thick; add a few drops of water if needed. Color the glaze with red food coloring. Dip the cake pops into the glaze, let excess drip off, roll in sprinkles and allow to dry well. Best served on a cake pop holder or, alternatively, in a jar with sugar.
