Ingredients

  • 8 dried plums
  • 6 cabbage leaves
  • Salt
  • 2 onions
  • 0.5 bunch Parsley
  • 300 g Ground Beef
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  • pepper (ground)
  • 400 g ripe tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

    Soak the dried plums in hot water for 1 hour, then drain.

    Blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling salted water for 3 minutes, remove and let dry on a kitchen towel. Trim off hard stems and cut the leaves in half. Peel and finely chop the onions.

    Wash the parsley, shake dry, pick off small leaflets and finely chop. Mix the ground beef with onions, parsley, salt, and pepper. Add egg and cornstarch and knead well. Place 2–3 tsp of the filling on each cabbage leaf, fold sides in, roll up, and tie with kitchen twine.

    Wash the tomatoes, blanch briefly, cool, peel, and cut into pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add the stuffed cabbage rolls, drained plums, and tomatoes. Cover and simmer over low heat for 20–30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve on plates.
