Spoonsparrow bread soup with onions is a rustic and hearty classic.

Ingredients

  • 300 g old-fashioned bread
  • 2 onions
  • 1 Tbsp clarified butter
  • 1.5 l meat broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Slice the bread into thin slices and arrange them on four plates.

    Peel the onions and cut them into thin rings. Sauté in hot clarified butter, stirring until golden brown.

    Bring the meat broth to a boil, season with salt and pepper. Pour over the bread and distribute the onion rings on top. Serve immediately.
