Blueberry-Pear-Spirulina Smoothie

The Blueberry-Pear-Spirulina Smoothie from Spoonsparrow is a great vegan breakfast for morning grumpies.

Ingredients

  • 250 g blueberries
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 ripe pears
  • 0.5 tsp spirulina powder
  • 300 g unsweetened soy yogurt
  • 300 ml almond milk

Instructions

    Sift and wash blueberries, then simmer about 100 g in a pot with maple syrup and 1–2 tbsp water over low heat for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.

    While the berries cool, wash, peel, halve, and core the pears. Blend pear flesh with 100 g blueberries, spirulina powder, yogurt, and almond milk in a blender until slightly chunky.

    Distribute blueberry compote into glasses or bottles. Pour the blueberry‑pear‑spirulina smoothie over it and garnish with remaining blueberries.
