Ingredients
- 150 g sour cherries (jar), well drained
- 125 g flour
- 120 g sugar
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 80 g crème fraîche
- 3 tbsp oil
- 3 eggs
- 250 ml milk
- 20 ml kirsch
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- fresh cherries
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- chocolate shavings
Instructions

Whisk the crème fraîche until smooth. Add the oil and mix well. Stir in the eggs, milk, kirsch, and vanilla sugar.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder thoroughly. Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Gently fold in the cherries. Fill the muffin tin (lined with paper cups) with batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C fan-forced for about 30 minutes. Let cool briefly before removing from the tin. Allow to cool completely.

Whip the cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form and place a dollop on each muffin. Decorate with cherries and chocolate shavings. Serve the Black Forest Cherry Muffins.
