Ingredients

  • 4 onions
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp plant oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 4 steaks (about 200 g each)

Instructions

    Peel the onions, halve them and cut into strips. In hot butter and 1 tbsp oil, cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper and remove from the pan.

    Press the steaks lightly flat, season with salt and pepper, then sear in the remaining hot oil in the pan for 2-4 minutes per side (depending on preference). Finally add the onions back, let them heat through, and serve.
