Ingredients

  • 1 Batavia salad
  • 4 oranges
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 0.5 bunch radishes
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1.

Separate the salad into leaves, clean, rinse, dry, set aside a few nice small leaves to line the bowl, and cut the rest into bite‑size pieces.

  2. 2.

Peel the oranges with a sharp knife like an apple, remove all white parts, then slice along the inner membranes to create fillets, catching the juice.

  3. 3.

Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings.

  4. 4.

Wash, clean, and slice the radishes thinly.

  5. 5.

Whisk vinegar with mustard, salt, pepper, and about 3 tbsp orange juice; beat in the oil with a whisk, then mix the chopped salad, radish slices, and onion rings with this dressing.

  6. 6.

Line a bowl with the reserved leaves, spread the dressed salad on top, and arrange the orange fillets over it.
