Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F) with upper/lower heat. Cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until smooth. Gradually beat in eggs one at a time until a frothy mixture forms. Sift flour, baking powder, and cornstarch together; fold into the batter with milk. Divide the dough between two greased and floured bundt pans (one standard size and one small child’s pan). Alternatively, use a dome-shaped cake pan designed for doll cakes. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes for the larger pan and 50 minutes for the smaller, checking doneness with a toothpick. Remove from the oven, invert onto a cooling rack, and let cool completely.

Trim the top of the large bundt cake and the bottom of the small one to be even. Spread jam on the top of the large cake and place the small cake on top. Slice off the sides with a knife so that a smooth dome shape is achieved.

Knead the marzipan dough with powdered sugar, then color it pink with food coloring. Whip cream with stabilizer and a touch of powdered sugar until stiff peaks form; tint it pink with red food coloring. Brush the dome cake’s surface lightly with the colored cream. Use a piping bag fitted with a star tip to pipe flat rosettes around the lower edge of the cake. Roll out the marzipan on a lightly dusted surface, cut a semicircle large enough to cover the dome; place it over the cake, leaving a circular opening for the Barbie body. Insert the Barbie into the center hole. Cut a narrow strip from remaining marzipan and use it as a belt around the waist. Decorate the skirt with sugar flowers and ribbon made of sugar lettering.
