Ingredients
- 8 large tomatoes
- olive oil (for greasing the dish)
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 handful fresh herbs (e.g., parsley, oregano, sage)
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 5 Tbsp breadcrumbs
- 50 g Parmesan
- 5 tbsp olive oil

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) with upper and lower heat.

Wash the tomatoes, remove the stem ends, and halve them. Place them cut side up in a dish greased with oil, then season with salt and pepper. Wash the herbs, shake off excess water, pluck the leaves, and finely chop. Peel the garlic and press it through a press. In a bowl mix the breadcrumbs, cheese, herbs, and olive oil. Spread the herb breadcrumb mixture over the tomatoes, gently press down, and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
