Ingredients

  • 1 kg Teltow turnips (or Mairübchen)
  • 1 handful oregano
  • coarse Sea salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200°C fan-forced.

    Wash, trim and halve larger turnips; leave smaller ones whole. Place one or two large pieces on parchment paper and arrange the turnips on top. Sprinkle with coarse salt and pepper. Press the garlic cloves against the back of a knife and add them with oregano. Drizzle olive oil over everything and seal the parcels. Tie with kitchen twine and bake for about 40 minutes. Test doneness by poking with a small knife.
