Attention fish lovers: The baked red mullet from Spoonsparrow tastes great again and again!

Ingredients

  • 4 red mullet (ready to cook)
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 untreated lemons
  • 4 tbsp pitted black olives
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ciabatta loaf
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) with upper and lower heat. Wash the red mullet, pat dry, season with salt and pepper, and drizzle with lemon juice. Rinse the lemons hot, slice thinly, and place slices in the fish cavities.

    Slice the olives into rounds and lay one fish on a sheet of parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil, seal the paper tightly, and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.

    Open the packages and briefly brown the fish under the hot oven grill. Serve the baked red mullet with fresh ciabatta and lemon wedges on a plate.
