Baked Pears Wrapped in Parchment
Baked pears wrapped in parchment: a sweet finale to a festive Christmas menu that is both simple and refined!
Ingredients
- 40 g Walnuts
- 500 g small firm pears (4 small firm pears)
- 1 Lime
- 2 tbsp Maple syrup
- 200 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
- ground cinnamon (to taste)
- liquid sweetener (optional)
Instructions
-
1.
Coarsely chop the walnuts and toast them in a dry pan until golden brown. Transfer to a small plate and let cool.
-
2.
Cut four sheets of light parchment paper (about 35x30 cm each) and lay them side by side on the work surface. Wash, peel, halve the pears, and remove the cores.
-
3.
Halve the lime and squeeze out the juice. In a small bowl whisk the juice with 1 tbsp maple syrup and the walnuts.
-
4.
Place two pear halves in the center of each parchment sheet and drizzle with the walnut‑syrup mixture.
-
5.
Tie each parchment sheet at both ends like candy with kitchen twine, sealing them shut. Bake on the oven rack in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan, gas level 3) on the middle shelf for about 10 minutes.
-
6.
Meanwhile whisk the yogurt with cinnamon to taste and a few drops of liquid sweetener until smooth.
-
7.
Remove the pear parcels from the oven, place them on plates, and carefully open. Drizzle remaining maple syrup over the pears and serve immediately with the yogurt.
