Baked Oats from Spoonsparrow are easy to prepare and rich in valuable ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 200 g rolled oats
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 50 g walnuts (or other nuts)
  • 200 g berries
  • 180 ml almond milk
  • 1 vanilla bean (seeds)
  • 5 g coconut oil (1 tsp; melted)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Greek yogurt (optional)

Instructions

    Place the rolled oats in a large bowl and pour 400 ml of boiling water over them. Add a pinch of salt, stir everything well, and let it swell for 10 minutes.

    In the meantime, roughly chop the walnuts and wash the berries. Add almond milk, vanilla seeds, walnuts, and berries to the rolled oats and mix well.

    Grease a baking dish (approx. 26 x 20 cm) with melted coconut oil and spread the oat-berry mixture in it. Drizzle with honey and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (160 °C fan; Gas: level 2-3) for about 20-25 minutes.

    Serve the finished baked oats hot. Garnish with Greek yogurt and fresh berries as desired.
