Ingredients
- 4 bell pepper halves (about 150 g each)
- 1 Green Chili Pepper
- 200 g Cream cheese
- 2 tsp grated lemon zest
- Salt
- black pepper, freshly ground
- 2 Eggs
- 150 g breadcrumbs
- oil for frying
- parsley for garnish
Instructions

Wash the bell pepper halves and chili, slice them lengthwise, remove seeds and all white membranes. Finely chop the chili.

Mix the cream cheese with the chopped chili and lemon zest, season with salt and pepper.

Fill each pepper half with the mixture and smooth it out.

Beat the eggs in a shallow dish. Spread breadcrumbs on another flat plate. Dip the pepper halves first in egg, then in breadcrumbs.

Heat oil to about 3 cm deep in a large pan and fry the breaded pepper halves for 4–5 minutes until golden brown, then drain on kitchen paper.

Serve the stuffed bell peppers garnished with parsley.
