Improve your inner balance and treat yourself to the delicious Ayurvedic spice tea following this simple recipe from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 1 piece cinnamon stick (5 cm)
  • 4 green cardamom pods
  • 2 black cardamom pods
  • 6 cloves
  • 1 milk
  • honey (or other sweetener to taste)

Instructions

    Roast cinnamon, cardamom and cloves in a dry pan over medium heat for about 2 minutes.

    Add the roasted spices with 500 ml water to a pot, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.

    Add milk and any sweetener, bring to a boil again. Remove from heat and let steep for about 4 minutes. Strain the Ayurvedic spice tea into a jug and serve hot immediately.
