Ingredients

  • 1 kg apples
  • 500 g pears
  • 0.5 l water
  • 0.25 l rosé wine
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 kg gelatin sugar

Instructions

    Wash apples and cut into small pieces with core removed. Add to pot with water and wine, add honey, cover and simmer gently for 45 minutes. Line a sieve with muslin cloth, hang over a bowl, press fruit mash lightly to catch juice.

    Peel pears, quarter them, remove cores and cut into small pieces. Mix pears with juice to reach 1 kg, add gelatin sugar, bring to boil, simmer bubbling for 4 minutes, pour into jars and seal.
