Apple-Cranberry Pie

Heavenly fragrant and warm inside, this apple-cranberry pie from Spoonsparrow tastes especially delicious!

Ingredients

  • 400 g spelt flour type 1050
  • Salt
  • 100 g whole cane sugar
  • 300 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 500 g apples
  • 1 lemon
  • 250 g cranberries
  • 0.25 tsp cinnamon

    Gather 200 g flour on the work surface, mix with salt and 1 tsp sugar, and create a well in the center. Cut 100 g cold butter into small pieces and distribute around the well. Place the egg in the middle and use a knife to cut through all ingredients, creating small dough crumbs.

    With your hands quickly knead into dough and shape into a ball. Place dough in a bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile peel apples, remove cores, and dice them. Halve the lemon, squeeze juice, and drizzle over the apples. Rinse cranberries. For the crumble, combine remaining flour, butter, sugar, and cinnamon and knead into crumbs.
