Ingredients

  • 1 lemon (juice)
  • 250 ml apple juice
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 4 apples

Instructions

    Halve the lemon and squeeze out the juice. Bring the lemon juice with the apple juice and cinnamon to a boil.

    While that boils, peel the apples, quarter them, remove the core, and cut the quarters into strips. Add to the liquid, bring back to a boil, then simmer gently for 2–3 minutes before removing from heat.

    Let the sugar‑free apple compote cool slightly and serve warm or at room temperature.
