Ingredients

  • 200 g dried fruit (e.g., cherries and apricots)
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 50 g almond slivers
  • 250 g fine rolled oats
  • 100 g coarse rolled oats
  • 100 g coarse barley flakes
  • 200 g brown cane sugar
  • 50 g beetroot syrup
  • 325 g butter

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 160°C fan.

    Chop the dried fruit and mix with raisins, almonds, oats, barley flakes, and cane sugar in a bowl. Warm the beetroot syrup and butter slowly in a saucepan, stir, and fold into the oat mixture.

    Spread the batter evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to about 1 cm thickness.

    Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden brown. Remove from the oven, cut into bars of approximately 5x10 cm, and cool on a wire rack.
