Almond Cookies

Ingredients

  • 75 g pork lard
  • 50 g butter
  • 85 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 200 g Flour
  • 50 g ground almonds (peeled)
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • flour (for working)

Instructions

    Beat the lard with the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Mix the flour with the almonds and sea salt and knead into a dough. Refrigerate the dough overnight.

    Preheat the oven to 180 °C (fan). Line two baking trays with parchment paper. On a floured surface roll the dough into a log and cut into about 40 slices. Shape each piece into a ball and place on the tray. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes. Remove and cool.
