Ingredients
- 125 g softened butter
- 2 packets vanilla sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp double cream
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 200 g Flour
- a pinch of salt
- 1 egg yolk (for brushing)
- 2 tbsp finely chopped hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp sugar

Whisk together butter, vanilla sugar, eggs, double cream, and cinnamon until creamy. Add flour and a pinch of salt to form a smooth dough. Shape into a roll, wrap in foil, and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Slice the roll into thin pieces, shape each into about 18 cm long slender rolls, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet in pretzel shape. Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle hazelnuts and sugar, then bake at 200°C for 15 minutes until golden brown.
