- 500 g wheat flour
- 100 g chopped almonds
- 100 g raisins
- a dash of vanilla bean seed
- 80 g softened butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 100 g sliced almonds
- 3 tbsp (40 g) honey

- 50 g butter
Instructions

1.
Whisk the yeast with the milk and 1 tsp sugar until smooth, then let rise for about 10 minutes. Toast the almonds in a dry pan without oil and set aside. Sift the flour into a mixing bowl. Add all ingredients and the yeast mixture, then knead with an electric hand mixer on low speed followed by high speed for about 5 minutes until a smooth dough forms.

2.
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes. Then knead it again on a floured surface, divide into three equal pieces, roll each into strands about 70 cm long, braid them together, and place on a greased baking sheet. Tie the ends to form a ring, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise again for 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
-
3.
Bake the loaf in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown. For the glaze, simmer the sliced almonds with honey, cream, and butter in a small pot until the mixture turns light brown. Brush the loaf with this glaze 10 minutes before the end of baking, then finish baking and let cool. Decorate with colorful hard-boiled eggs or sweets.
