Ingredients
- 6 slices wholegrain bread
- 35 g Butter
- 180 g waxy potatoes (cooked the day before)
- 3 herring fillets
- 1 untreated lemon
- 2 sprigs dill
- 150 g hard cheese (e.g., Hushållsost)

Lightly toast the bread to preference and cut 12 circles. Spread with butter. Slice the potatoes into rounds and cut the fish into 2‑3 cm wide pieces. Cut the lemon into slices and then quarter each slice.

Wash the dill, shake dry and pluck off the tips. Cut the cheese into pieces or slices. Top the buttered bread with potato rounds, cheese, herring and lemon. Garnish the bites with dill and serve on a platter.
