- 400 g white asparagus
- Salt
- 1 untreated lemon
- 1 bundle basil (and parsley)
- 0.125 l olive oil

Wash, peel, and trim the woody ends of the asparagus. Bring a generous pot of salted water to a boil with half the lemon juice; bundle the asparagus and cook for about 12 minutes.

Wash the herbs, shake dry, pluck leaves from stems, and finely chop. Mix the chopped herbs with olive oil, remaining lemon juice, and zest of half a lemon until a smooth sauce forms. Season with salt and pepper.

Drain the asparagus, arrange on plates, and pour the herb sauce over it.
