Ingredients

  • 1 kg Vogelbeere (best after first frost)
  • 2 Vanilla Beans
  • 500 g gelierzucker (2:1)
  • 1 tsp citric acid

Instructions

    Wash the Vogelbeeren and pluck them from the stems. Cook the berries with 1 cup water until very soft, about 25 minutes, then puree. Split the vanilla beans, scrape out the seeds, and mix with the sugar and citric acid.

    Bring the fruit mass and sugar to a boil and simmer for 4 minutes while bubbling. Fill prepared twist-off jars and seal immediately.
