Ingredients

  • 500 g cold roast meat (beef or lamb)
  • 3 onions
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 3 green chili peppers
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 0.25 tsp mustard seeds
  • 0.25 tsp cumin seeds
  • 0.25 tsp Coriander
  • 0.25 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt
  • black pepper (freshly ground)

    Cut the meat into thin strips. Peel, halve, and slice onions into fine strips. Briefly blanch tomatoes, cool, peel, quarter, deseed, and chop. Wash chilies, slit lengthwise, remove seeds, strip off white membranes, and cut into thin strips.

    Heat oil in a pan and fry mustard and cumin seeds for 30 seconds while stirring until they start to crackle. Add onions and chilies, stir-fry briefly. Mix in meat, ground spices, Worcestershire sauce, and tomatoes; season with salt and pepper and cook on medium heat for another 3–5 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve with rice as desired.
