Veal Liver

Ingredients

  • 600 g veal liver
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 300 ml hot meat broth
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar (or balsamic)
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • Salt
  • black pepper
  • sugar
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 packet potato mash powder
  • 0.25 l milk
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

    Cook the mashed potatoes according to package instructions.

    Slice the liver into strips, peel and finely slice the onion into rings. Melt butter and sauté the onion rings. Add the liver strips, dust with flour and stir in. Slowly pour in the hot meat broth while constantly stirring. Add vinegar, paprika, salt, pepper and sugar. Simmer for about 5 minutes, taste, then fold in sour cream.

    Serve in soup cups alongside mashed potatoes.
