Ingredients
- 750 g veal (from the shank)
- 2 onions
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 6 stems oregano
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- Lemon
- 200 ml meat stock (from a can)
- Salt
- ground pepper
- 2 tsp flour

Cut veal into medium-sized cubes. Peel and finely dice onions and garlic. Rinse oregano, shake dry, and strip leaves from stems.

Heat olive oil and butter in a braising pot. Lightly brown the meat. Add onions, garlic, and oregano; sauté briefly. Pour in lemon juice and stock, cover, and simmer for 1 hour over moderate heat.

Whisk flour with a little cold water and stir into the stock. Simmer uncovered for 2-3 minutes until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
