Ingredients

  • 300 g sushi rice
  • 60 ml rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 10 cooked ready-to-eat shrimp (ready-to-eat shrimp)
  • 10 slices squid (pre-cooked)
  • 10 sardine halves pre-processed and deboned (or fish of choice)
  • garnish (as desired)
  • cucumber strips
  • radishes (sliced)
  • lemon wedges
  • Chives
  • Watercress
  • caviar

Instructions

    Wash rice in a bowl with cold water, rinse until clear. Let rice soak for about 1 hour, then drain through a sieve. Bring 400 ml water to boil and cook covered for about 1 minute. Reduce heat to low, uncovered, simmer until the rice absorbs the water. Transfer rice to a shallow bowl and let cool slightly. Warm vinegar with salt and sugar and fold into the rice.

    With wet hands form nigiri and top as desired with shrimp, squid, and fish. Garnish each as desired and serve.
