Turkey with Vegetables from the Wok

Ingredients

  • 2 bunches spring onions
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 175 g baby corn
  • 0.5 Red chili pepper
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 turkey breast fillets (ca. 300 g, skinless and boneless)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Dayong spice mix (Chinese spice blend)
  • 200 g Chinese egg noodles
  • Sesame seeds (1 tsp each)
  • Black cumin (1 tsp each)

Instructions

    Wash spring onions, pat dry and cut into pieces. Clean peppers, quarter, seed, remove white membranes, wash and cut flesh into bite-sized pieces. Slice chili lengthwise, deseed, remove white membranes, wash and finely chop. Peel garlic and finely chop. Cut turkey breast crosswise into thin slices.

    Cook Chinese egg noodles according to package instructions in salted water, drain and keep warm.

    Heat a wok or large pan, add 1 tbsp oil and quickly sear the meat on all sides while stirring, remove and set aside. Add garlic and chili, stir-fry, add baby corn and cook for 2 min, then add peppers and spring onion pieces and cook for another 2 min. Return the meat, add soy sauce and spice mix, and stir-fry everything together for an additional minute. Plate with noodles in bowls and sprinkle sesame seeds and black cumin.
