Tuna with Tomatoes

Fresh tuna fillets baked with tomatoes, garlic, olives and herbs for a bright Mediterranean dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 tuna fillets (about 180 g each)
  • 600 g diced canned tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Lime
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp marjoram leaves (finely chopped)
  • 100 g green olives (pitted)
  • Sea salt
  • freshly ground pepper

Instructions

    Squeeze juice from half a lime and slice the other half into rounds.

    Fill a baking dish with tomatoes, garlic, olives and marjoram. Season with salt and pepper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 15 minutes to simmer.

    Wash and pat dry the tuna fillets, place them on top of the sauce. Drizzle with lime juice, season with pepper and drizzle with olive oil. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 6–8 minutes until cooked through. Serve garnished with lime slices.
