Ingredients
- 500 g tuna fillet
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 small white onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 Carrot
- sugar
- olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 4 tbsp chopped basil
- 1 small cinnamon stick

Wash and pat dry the tuna fillet, then cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel and chop the onion and garlic; peel and finely dice the carrot. Heat 3 tbsp olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the onion, garlic, and carrots until translucent. Add the tomatoes, cinnamon stick, and 2 tsp sugar, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and plenty of pepper. Stir in 3 tbsp basil leaves.

Heat 3 tbsp olive oil in another pan and sear the tuna pieces over gentle heat on all sides. Season with salt and pepper.
