Tomato Spread

Tomato spread by Spoonsparrow ✌︎ Quick homemade and ideal for breakfast or lunch!

Ingredients

  • 100 g dried tomatoes in oil
  • 100 g sunflower seeds
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 handful basil
  • 1 pinch raw cane sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Drain the tomatoes lightly in a sieve and roughly chop them. Place the tomatoes in a tall container and blend with sunflower seeds, olive oil, and 4 tbsp water.

    Wash the basil, shake off excess moisture, and finely chop the leaves. Add the basil to the tomato spread and stir well.

  3. 3.

    Season the tomato spread with raw cane sugar, salt, and pepper. The tomato spread keeps airtight for 4–5 days in the refrigerator.
