Tofu-Patty Burger

Ingredients

  • 4 sesame seed buns (pre-made)
  • 4 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 4 iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 100 g smoked tofu
  • 4 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 cm grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 finely chopped chili pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp finely ground peanut butter
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • oil for frying

Instructions

    Slice the buns in half, brush the bottom halves with oyster sauce and place a washed, dry lettuce leaf on each.

    Grate the tofu finely, mix it with the ground beef, egg, and spices, knead into a dough, and shape into four large patties. Fry them slowly in plenty of oil from both sides until cooked through. Mix all ingredients for the sauce together. Place the finished burgers on the bun halves with lettuce, spread sauce over them, top with the other bun halves. Serve on napkins immediately.
