Teriyaki Beef with Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 600 g beef fillet
  • 6 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 4 Spring Onions
  • 500 g Asian mushrooms (e.g. enoki, shiitake, oyster)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Rinse the beef fillet under cold water, pat dry and cut into bite‑sized cubes.

  2. 2.

    Mix the meat with teriyaki sauce and let it marinate for 1 hour.

  3. 3.

    Meanwhile wash and trim the spring onions, slice into rings. Clean the mushrooms.

  4. 4.

    About 10 minutes before the end of marination heat oil in a wok. Sauté the mushrooms over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, season with salt and pepper, then spread onto four plates.

  5. 5.

    Remove the meat from the marinade and sear it in the wok over medium heat for 2–3 minutes on all sides. Add the remaining marinade and cook for another 3 minutes.

    Serve the meat atop the mushrooms and garnish with spring onion rings.
