- 300 g puff pastry (frozen)
- 4 ripe apples (e.g., Boskop)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- butter (for the pan)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
- flour (for the work surface)
- 1 egg yolk

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) with upper and lower heat. Let the puff pastry thaw. Peel, quarter, core, and cut the apples into wedges. Immediately mix with lemon juice. Grease a tart pan with butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Arrange the apple wedges close together in the pan. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to fit the pan and seal it around the edges. Press the rim firmly and brush with egg yolk. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Remove the finished tart and carefully flip it onto a plate. Serve warm or cold.
