Ingredients
- 250 g split peas
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 2 stalks celery
- 250 g waxy potatoes
- 2 tbsp pork lard
- 750 ml meat broth
- 1 tbsp finely chopped marjoram
- 400 g sausages (e.g., Mettwurst)
- Salt
- ground pepper
Instructions

Wash and drain the peas. Peel or clean the onion, carrots, celery, and potatoes, then dice everything. Sauté in hot lard, add the peas and broth, and simmer gently for about 1 hour with occasional stirring.

If needed, add a little more broth. Then stir in the marjoram and sliced sausages, bring to a boil, season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.
