Spicy Waffles with Dip
Spicy waffles with dip from Spoonsparrow make it possible to get children to enjoy fruits and vegetables.
Ingredients
- 100 g Soft Butter
- 250 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
- 150 g feta (45% fat i. Tr.)
- 250 g whole wheat flour
- 3 eggs
- 2 Spring Onions
- Pepper
- 0.5 apple
- 100 g radishes
- 100 g low-fat quark
- Salt

In a large bowl, combine butter with 150 g yogurt, crumbled feta and flour. Add eggs and 50–80 ml water and whisk the ingredients into a smooth batter using a hand mixer. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, clean, wash and slice the spring onions into rings; set aside the green for the quark, mix the white onion rings into the batter and season with pepper.

Peel, wash, core and coarsely grate the apple for the dip. Peel, wash and cut the radishes into thin strips. Mix the remaining yogurt, quark, apple and radishes well together. Fold in the reserved spring onion greens and season the dip with salt and pepper.

Preheat a non-stick waffle iron. Stir the batter again. Bake about 8 waffles one after the other. For each waffle, place 2–3 tbsp of batter on the bottom baking surface and close the waffle iron. Bake the waffle until golden brown in about 4 minutes. Place the finished waffles on a plate and serve with the dip.
