Ingredients
- Sal
- 60 ml plant oil
- 120 g flour
- 3 eggs
- 400 ml plant oil (for frying)
- 3 tbsp sugar
Instructions
-
1.
Bring 180 ml water with a pinch of salt to a boil in a pot. Add the oil and flour, stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until a smooth dough forms. Heat this "burn" (continue heating for another 2 minutes while stirring) and transfer to a bowl. Gradually fold in the eggs using the beaters of an electric hand mixer.

2.
Heat the plant oil in a pot (it is hot when small bubbles rise on a wooden spoon), put the dough into a piping bag with a large star tip, and press about 10 cm long strands (straight or shaped into curls) into the hot oil. Fry until golden yellow, remove with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper. Sprinkle with sugar before serving.
