Ingredients
- 2 tbsp capers
- basil (for garnish)
- 400 g spaghetti
- 1 can tuna (150 g drained weight)
- 1 onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 bunch parsley
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small can peeled tomatoes (400 g content or 400 g ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 dried chili pepper
Instructions

Cook pasta in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente.

Break the tuna into flakes with a fork. Peel and dice onion and garlic. Wash and finely chop parsley.

Heat oil in a pot. Sauté onion and garlic while stirring. Add tomatoes, crush them as desired, season with salt, pepper and crumbled chili pepper, and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes; finally add parsley and tuna, bring to a boil, taste and fold in capers.

Drain pasta and place on warmed plates. Spoon the tuna sauce over it, garnish with basil, and serve immediately.
