Sliced Turkey in Taco Shells

Ingredients

  • 150 g tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • pimento (½ tsp ground)
  • cinnamon (½ tsp ground)
  • 80 g roasted peanuts
  • 100 ml poultry broth (instant)
  • 2 Romaine Lettuce Hearts
  • 1 bunch spring onions
  • 450 g sliced turkey
  • 125 ml sherry
  • Salt
  • 12 taco shells (pre-made, 125g each)

Instructions

    Briefly blanch tomatoes, cool, peel, core and dice. Peel onion and garlic. Dice onion. Slice chili pepper lengthwise, remove seeds and chop.

    Heat 2 tbsp oil in a small pot over medium heat; sauté onion cubes until translucent, add pressed garlic, then chili and cook briefly. Remove from heat, add tomatoes, pimento, cinnamon and 60 g peanuts, pour in broth and blend everything into a smooth sauce.
