Ingredients
- 0.75 l good dry red wine
- 1 tsp cardamom pods
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 7 cloves
- 12 cubes sugar
- 250 ml brandy
- 100 g raisins
- 100 g blanched almond kernels

Add the red wine, cardamom, cinnamon stick, cloves, and raisins to a pot and heat slowly until the wine is almost boiling. Reduce the heat, add the raisins and almonds, and let steep for about 15 minutes without boiling.

Remove the cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Place the sugar cubes in a small pot, pour brandy over them, light with a long match, and allow the sugar to melt slowly before pouring into the wine. Fill punch glasses evenly with the mulled wine, raisins, and almonds, and serve immediately.
