Ingredients

  • 250 g Basmati rice
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp saffron powder
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cardamom pods
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 2 tbsp toasted almond slivers (roasted without oil)

Instructions

    Wash the rice thoroughly in a sieve under running water, then bring to a boil with twice the amount of lightly salted water, stir in saffron and spices, cover and simmer over low heat for about 15-20 minutes.

    Fold the roasted almonds into the finished rice.
