Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 250 g sugar
- 200 ml neutral-flavor oil
- 200 ml orange juice
- 300 g flour
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 packet baking powder
- 300 g apricot jam
- 350 g dark chocolate couverture
- 125 g whipped cream

Beat eggs with sugar for 2-3 minutes until creamy, then stir in oil, juice, flour, cocoa and baking powder. Pour batter into a greased springform pan and bake in preheated oven at 200°C for about 40-45 minutes; test doneness. Remove and cool on a wire rack.

Cut the cake horizontally once. Spread half of the jam on the base, place the top layer back on, and thinly spread jam around the edges. Chop the chocolate couverture. In a small pot, bring cream to a boil, remove from heat, melt in the chocolate. Whisk briefly, let cool slightly, then brush over the cake.
