Rice with Chicken

Ingredients

  • 300 g chicken breast fillet
  • 150 g chicken liver
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 300 g long-grain rice
  • 800 ml broth
  • 1 tsp saffron powder
  • 0.25 tsp cinnamon
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • 50 g almonds (roasted)
  • 150 g Frozen Peas

Instructions

    Cook the rice according to package instructions in 600 ml broth until almost done.

    Cut chicken breast fillets and liver into about 15 mm strips or cubes. Sauté garlic in oil briefly, add chicken breast, stir-fry for a short time. Add liver, sauté together, then add rice, deglaze with remaining broth, add peas, and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Add saffron and season.

    Roast almonds without oil in a pan until golden.

    Serve pilaf on a plate, sprinkle with roasted almonds.
