Ingredients

  • 2 eggs (medium size)
  • 750 g low-fat quark
  • 150 g instant oatmeal flakes
  • 200 g Camembert cheese
  • Salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • paprika powder
  • coarse oatmeal flakes (for sprinkling)
  • 750 g fresh spinach
  • 1 onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

    Beat eggs with quark and oatmeal. Dice 100 g camembert into small cubes and stir into the quark mixture. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika powder. Divide the remaining camembert into 12 pieces.

    Shape 12 dumplings from the quark dough, inserting a piece of camembert into each center. Boil plenty of salted water in a large pot. Add the dumplings and simmer gently for about 20 minutes until cooked through.

    Wash and dry the spinach thoroughly. Peel and finely dice onion and garlic. Heat oil in a large pot. Sauté onions and garlic until golden yellow. Add spinach and steam for 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

    Lift the dumplings from the water with a slotted spoon and drain. Serve together with the spinach.
