Potato-celery casserole from Spoonsparrow is always really good.

Ingredients

  • 400 g firm potatoes
  • 400 g celeriac
  • 500 ml whipping cream (at least 30% fat)
  • Salt
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • nutmeg
  • 150 g grated cheese (e.g., Gouda)

Instructions

    Peel and wash the potatoes and celeriac, then cut them into 2 cm pieces. Season the cream with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) fan‑forced.

    Grease an oval gratin dish with butter, arrange the potatoes and celeriac in it, then pour over the seasoned cream so everything is just covered.

    Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
